by Carol Bujeau
For more than three decades, Carol Bujeau accompanied her diplomat husband around the world, as he climbed the Canadian foreign service ladder.
From Barbados to Indonesia, Ghana to New York, these memoirs relate the many cultural and diplomatic challenges she faced as wife, mother, and “spouse of,” with humour, if not always.
Carol Bujeau is a former communications strategist, who has a keen interest in interior decorating and furniture design. A Cordon Bleu graduate, with a certificate in diamond grading, she is a student of ikebana and calligraphy.
Carol travelled the globe with her husband, John Holmes, the former Ambassador of Canada to the Philippines, Jordan, Indonesia, and Turkey, as well as non-resident Ambassador to Iraq, Timor Leste, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan.
Carol and John have also had diplomatic postings in Barbados, Ghana, and the United States. Now, they live in Ottawa.
