So what do we do?
We promote advanced education: Through a variety of fundraising initiatives and member donations. we maintain a Scholarship Trust Fund allowing us to disburse funds to local high school graduates moving on to post-secondary education. Through the Trust we have awarded over $105K, in scholarships, bursaries and book prizes. | We support our community: City of Ottawa “Let’s get growing!” campaign - supporting the growth of Ottawa’s tree canopy. |
We share knowledge and friendship: CFUW Kanata holds monthly meetings with guest speakers covering a wide range of topics, as well as a variety of weekly / monthly social interest groups. Members are welcome to propose new topics of interest. |
We advocate for change: CFUW encourages its members to use their expertise to bring about change, with particular reference to women's issues such as violence against women, early learning and child care, education, economic prosperity and the empowerment of woman as leaders and decision makers. | Upcoming events
